We are saving money by eating at home more, shopping at consignment stores, and not buying things that hubby & I may "want."

I also follow you on FB.

We've been saving money by making meals from scratch. I don't buy any pre-packaged or prepared foods. This gives my pantry more flexibility and our food tastes so much better!

Great contest! We're saving money by cutting down (not completely out) on eating out. We've also started making shopping lists for everywhere we go. If it's not on the list, it doesn't go in the cart, no matter what. There are very few things that can't wait a week or two until they can be added to the budget. We're also trying to pay cash as much as possible. This makes us more aware of how much money is going out at a time.

I like to save money by purchasing organic lettuce, spinning it dry and making a large salad to last a few days. Add different things on different days to change it up. It is cheaper than bag lettuce, just as fast and tastes WAY better!

We are gardening more to save some on produce. We are also buying staples in bulk at a better price point. Also, we are writing nice notes instead of buying greeting cards for birthdays and other occasions.

We are always looking online for coupons and doing price comparisons, especially for big purchases. Like we just bought a organic mattress and after 3 hours of searching online we found a coupon that saved us $300 and free shipping.

my family and i are saving money by starting to do things in a homemade kind of a way. I started making my own baby wipes and gifts for friends. I'll use things I already have in my home, and create something new. I love my homemade baby wipes, and it's fun trying to make them with my son.

We are saving money by eating in more than out. Eating out can rack up lots of money. So lots of eating in
